KEEPING A FISHING LOG
 by Bob Howell

Keeping a fishing log is a great tool to improve fishing knowledge and skills.

You can enter data under predefined headings such as date, lake or area fished, time started, wind strength and direction, weather, barometric pressure, type of structure and vegetation, water clarity and level.

Fish are predictable. They will react much the same under similar weather conditions as they did last week, last month or even last year.

Keeping a fishing log will improve an angler’s knowledge of how fish react to weather conditions, where he is most likely to find fish and which lure was most productive.

Keeping a fishing log is time well spent.
